With Mercedes winning another consecutive world championship, we were commissioned to create a large format F1 image to be displayed in the Mercedes Benz-World museum.
With the image needing to reflect many years of Mercedes' success, both past and future, the car , driver and scene capture the teams efforts, rather than any one driver, car model or track.
To achieve the enormous print size at a high resolution, we created a cgi scene, to which we applied vector based motion tracking to create a dynamic result.

With only a few scraps of reference remaining of this near mythical land speed vehicle, producing an accurate cgi build was a challenge that required more than a little detective work.

Using a great set of images by automotive photographer, James Lipman, we combined content from a range of photographs to create a single hero shot. The resulting image presents a rich and information filled account of the 4x4 driving experience, while retaining the excitement of the M-Class in motion.
